Nottingham has quite a few lovely green spaces, and we like to enjoy them when we can. One of our local parks is Woodthorpe Grange Park in Sherwood. There’s a great little coffee shop (one of our service users volunteers there on Fridays), a tropical greenhouse, pitch and putt and loads of trees and really niceĀ green things. Nottingham City Council has installed quite a few table tennis tables around the city (a really good idea, we think) and there’s one at Woodthorpe Park. I could now go on to talk about free participation in sport, providing opportunities for exercise and trying new things and the benefits of table tennis on hand/eye co-ordination but quite simply, it’s good fun. And we like it.
