Last week our clients enjoyed getting fit and healthy whilst taking part in friendly competition.
The Space Inclusive Sports Day is an annual date in our diary. It has become a bit of a tradition to go to the Forest Recreation Ground and take part in events and activities such as the long jump, running and throwing.
Aside from the physical benefits, it’s a success because it brings together clients from different sites – in many ways it’s like the Space Inclusive Olympics!
All clients enjoyed the day. One of the support workers who organised the event, Jen, said “It was really energetic. A highlight was the egg and spoon race which was really great. There was wonderful sportsmanship and a real team effort was shown by all. It was a supportive atmosphere, with clients cheering for each other and overall it was a real success.”
