As the weather continues to improve (kind of…) we are finding our Green Space project to be increasingly busy. Of course, this is good news as it gives our practical and nearly-work-ready folk a chance to find out what it’s like to work on real life landscaping and gardening projects. Along with the usual weeding, lawn cutting and hedge trimming we sometimes get some fascinating opportunities, such as this one at Hempshill Hall. You may not have heard of Hempshill Hall, but it really is one on Nottingham’s hidden gems. Originally a Tudor Hall, it has a fascinating history. Find out more here. The work we have done here is still in the early stages, but woodland management, fencing and gate making all give our Green Space guys a change to work in a setting that blends the natural environment, outdoor skills and heritage.
